Set in the open scrublands of the Erramala Hills, Ervana is a growing food forest and an evolving journey in farming and hospitality. It began with the land — and with a family learning to work with it differently.

As third generation farmers, we have seen — and tried — radically different approaches to turning arid land into fertile soil. A four-acre organic experiment outside Kurnool became the beginning of a longer journey through water, soil, trees and the relationships between them. At Ervana, we are learning to do just enough, so nature can do the rest.

Part farm, part forest, Ervana is an evolving concept. Bordering both a highway and a reserved forest, we see ourselves as a safe buffer for our wilder neighbours. We grow crops that replenish the soil while nourishing creatures big and small, including ourselves.
From this landscape came Sila, Ervana’s farmside dining expression. Our seed-to-table all day diner serves wholesome flavours from homegrown produce, with crop and community at the centre of our food philosophy.
We wanted the food to speak of the region without reducing Rayalaseema to chilli. Recipes were collected from towns and villages, roadside cooking became reference, and local cooks brought their own understanding of ingredients, techniques and flavour. The food continues to evolve with the farm, the season and the people around it.
Along the Bangalore–Hyderabad highway, but a world away from its bustle. Perfect for a pit stop or a leisurely break from the usual, we invite you to slow down.
